TEXT TOOL
Case Converter
Change the capitalisation of any text in one click: uppercase, lowercase, title case, sentence case or alternating case.
How to use the Case Converter
Paste your text, then press the button for the style you want. Your original stays in the top box, so you can try several styles without retyping.
What each style does
Title Case capitalises the main words and keeps short words such as “of”, “and” and “the” lower case unless they start or end the text. Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and lowers the rest. Alternating switches between lower and upper case on every letter.
Examples and uses
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dogbecomesThe Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dogin title case.HELLO. HOW ARE YOU?becomesHello. How are you?in sentence case.
Limitations and good to know
Sentence case and title case cannot know which words are names or acronyms, so proper nouns such as “London” or “NASA” will be lowered and may need a manual fix. Title-case rules differ between style guides; this tool uses a common English convention.
