GENERATOR
QR Code Generator
Make a QR code for a link, plain text or contact details and download it as a PNG or SVG. The code is drawn in your browser, so what you enter is never uploaded.
How to use the QR Code Generator
Pick what the code should hold, fill in the details and choose Generate QR code. For a link, you can leave off https:// and it will be added for you. For a contact card, the code stores a standard vCard that most phone cameras offer to save as a new contact.
Use PNG for screens and documents. Use SVG when you need to print at any size, because it stays sharp when scaled. Higher error correction lets a code still scan when part of it is damaged or covered by a logo, but it makes the pattern denser.
Examples and uses
- Link: enter
example.com/menuto make a code for a restaurant menu page. - Text: a short note, a serial number or a promo code to place on a label.
- Contact: a name, phone number and email for a business card.
Limitations and good to know
Very long content makes the pattern dense and harder to scan, and the generator will tell you when something is too long for a single code. Always test-scan the finished code with a phone before printing. Dark code on a light background scans most reliably, so keep strong contrast if you change the colours. Codes made here are static: they contain the data itself, so they never expire and need no account.
Frequently asked questions
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The code is generated by JavaScript in your browser and the image is created locally.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static codes that hold your data directly, so they keep working as long as the link or information inside stays valid.
Why does my code look dense?
More characters need more squares. Shorter links, or a lower error-correction level, give a simpler code that is easier to scan at small sizes.
